Energy Service Contracts

For customers who do not wish to purchase the solar equipment, we can structure energy service contracts wherein the commitment is to buy the energy generated by the system, not the equipment itself. Depending on the specific location, these contracts can often be structured at a discount to current or future prices for energy from other sources.

Sale of Solar Credits

As part of the financing of a system, CarbonFree can aggregate the Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) generated together with those from other sites and sell them to third parties.

Project Finance

Together with our financial partners, CarbonFree is able to offer most customers several options for financing solar energy systems. These include:

No Financing

Some customers prefer to buy systems using their own capital budgets, with no outside financing.

Project Equity

CarbonFree can assist with raising project equity, in certain cases.

Project Debt

We are happy to arrange debt finance for projects we develop, normally covering up to 70% of the project cost.

Lease Agreements

We can arrange a capital lease with an option to own the equipment after a period of time, for customers not currently in a position to take advantage of some of the credits available to tax equity investors.
